Trevor got everything set up just right. Each book in its proper place, calculator open, conversion tables easily accessible. Mostly, this was for show, in case anyone walked by the classroom he commandeered to start the session. After the door closed… well, that would depend on Gabe’s mood.

Outside in the corridor, he could hear the heavy tread of his boyfriend coming down the hall. He doubted anyone aside from the other Rotherbridges would be able to distinguish it from other players Gabe’s size. There was something distinct about his footsteps that Trevor picked out easily.

Then he walked in.

As usual. it was enough to take Trevor’s breath away. Thick, soft auburn hair that his fingers already itched to sink into. Green eyes that stole the soul and never gave it back. Bulk that at once made him feel safe and hunted like a deer.

Gabe shut the door with his foot, putting down his bag. When his eyes came up, Trevor knew two things: First, Gabe was upset about something and second, he was about to use Trevor to work it out.

Gabe was such a physical man.

In moments, Gabe had stalked over to him, lifted him off the ground (all 145 pounds of him), stepped between his legs, and kissed him with plenty of tongue as he slid a hand into his hair, every bit of Trevor’s careful set up no longer in its place. Or even on the table.

Trevor couldn’t have cared less.

He returned Gabe’s ardor. They’d never done it at school, but the way things were going, that might actually happen.

It was so different from their first kiss…

Trevor watched Gabe be miserable for the third tutoring session in a row. The coach was keeping him out of first string because he was so completely out as gay to the school, and it was taking a toll on his grades. He wished there was something he could do for him.

When the hot football player sat back in his chair, he saw his chance.

Trevor wasn’t bad looking, either. Blue eyes, thick black hair. He was leaner than Gabe, but still fit. Still hot. This was just the first time he felt like he could finally disclose the truth about himself. Nothing like doing it in one bold stroke. And with the one person he knew, at the very least, would not out him if he said ‘no’.

Tipping up Gabe’s chin, Trevor closed the distance and kissed the guy he was tutoring.

Gabe was stunned, then relaxed beneath the kiss. It was surprising that he’d done it, but it was nice to have his suspicions confirmed. The moment was over all too soon, and the two of them looked at each other for a long moment.

“Wow,” said Gabe.

“Yeah,” Trevor replied, giving a laugh and pushing back his hair with his fingers, blushing.

Finally, Gabe said. “I have one complaint.” Though it had been rather nice.

Trevor looked up at his face. “What?” He thought back to find what he’d done wrong.

Gabe smirked. “You stopped,” he said, leaning in to kiss his tutor again, his hand going into his hair.

Well, maybe it wasn’t that different.

Trevor started to wrap his legs around his lover of a few months before Gabe ended the kiss, shaking his head. Trevor felt some disappointment but he knew that they had to be careful. Things could go badly if they were caught together.

Gabe didn’t pull away. He rested his forehead against Trevor’s, getting his breath back after such an intense kiss with his boyfriend, both of their lips swollen from the passion. His hands rested on either side of Trevor’s hips, his still between the other boy’s legs. That was the biggest tip off, really. In that position, it was obvious to him now that Gabe hadn’t been after sex.

He wanted comfort.

Trevor pushed back his hair. “Want to talk about it, hon?” He had a soft voice, but his southern accent seemed to have a soothing effect on his boyfriend.

Gabe’s shoulders dropped, and he sighed, his breath stirring past Trevor’s lips. “Maybe,” he said, pulling over a chair. He sat in it, pulling Trevor with him.

He obediently settled in his lap, needing no coercion to be there, anyway. He wrapped his arms around Gabe’s neck. “So?”

Another sigh. ”It’s Jana.”

Trevor raised an eyebrow. “She push another cheerleader into a pool?”

Gabe chuckled, relaxing a bit more. “No, but I’m going to steal that one and use it at the earliest opportunity,” he told him, squeezing his waist where his hands rested. “No, it wasn’t a girl this time.” He summarized briefly what happened between Jana and Simon.

Again, Trevor raised an eyebrow, using his finger to draw designs on Gabe’s collarbone. “So, let me get this straight,” he said. “While we were letting off some steam, he chose to proposition your sister… and he’s still walking normally?”

Gabe smiled a bit. “In my defense, he’s in a lot of classes I’m not, and I don’t want to get fouled on a technicality because I’m annoyed with him.”

“And Jana?”

Gabe sighed. “I think she might want to take him up on it. I did my best to discourage her, though.”

Trevor raised an eyebrow. “She was tempted? That’s a first.”

“I’d rather it didn’t happen at all,” Gabe muttered, massaging Trevor’s sides. “When it blows up, she’ll be more broken than she already is. I’d rather she didn’t get involved with anyone until she resolved her issues, least of all take Simon up on his ‘offer’.”

Trevor caressed his boyfriend’s face, watching as Gabe leaned his head into his touch. “I hate to mention this, honey,” he said, “but you know you’re a little broken, too, right?”

Gabe peered at him. “That’s different.”

Trevor merely shrugged. “Just don't complain to me when the beam in your eye blinds you because you were trying so hard to pull out her mote,” he said, showing his Bible scholar colors.

Gabe groaned, leaning his head back. “Your referencing scripture should not be sexy,” he mock-complained.

Trevor giggled. “Deal with it.”
